Scientifically Sourced Natural Pesticide Ingredients

We have 20 years of experience in developing and testing natural pesticide ingredients.   We quickly learned that each time we tested the same essential oil species, we had vastly different levels or killing and/or repelling the same pest species.  Order your own GC/MS report from your essential oil provider and you will see that each oil is made up of 20+ chemical components.  We committed a substantial amount of human and financial resources into evaluating each of components that make up most essential oils so we could confirm which of these compounds provide the actual pest killing and repelling functions.  The answers surprised us in all cases but it has allowed us to outsource the very best ingredients for the formulas that we offer for private labeling.

More and more of our clients continue to ask that we help them with some of their formulas that we were not making for them, with our private label program.  So we now offer a few select items to help our clients create more effective formulas of their own.  While we do provide data to prove the performance of our ingredients, that does not mean that our data will work to help you make label claims or register your formula with the states that require registration.  The final formula is your property and it is up to you to get the data to support the claims of your final formula.

Without understanding what specific components provide the performance of your natural formulas, your clients will see a constant change in the performance of your products.  In most cases your prototype formula that you use from your testing and label claims are from a different source of essential oils.  This means that your purchasing agent or suppliers will outsource the cheapest source of your raw ingredients and when that happens to an essential oil, it almost always means lower performance.  So while you might have acceptable data with your prototype batch for your lab tests, it’s not logical to expect your performance to remain the same when you go into production quantity.

Our surfactants are, frankly, a game-changer.  No one has researched more into the development of a pesticidal surfactant.  While SLS and other surfactants can be effective at blending your essential oils with water, our surfactants will provide as much or more pest killing performance than your actual essential oils.  Our ‘soap’ is a blend of ingredients that will allow you to use much less essential oil and bring your formula costs way down.  This soap has killing power that rivals synthetic actives.  It is proven to be synergistic to actives such as pyrethrins.  We make no repellent claims for our soap and no ability to extend the longevity of your formula, but it will act as a surfactant and as a pest killer.  It will be listed on your label as ‘soap’ under the inert ingredient list.
