Problem: Flea eggs are very smooth and made to slide out of the animal fur when they are laid by the adults that are actively attached and feeding on the host. The larvae then develop OFF of the animal (i.e in our carpets, flooring, our outdoor rest/playing areas for the animal, etc…). Therefore, treatment methods to control fleas and ticks that only focus on repellents applied to the animal or humans only provide a marginal level of protection.
Solution: In order to control fleas and ticks it is essential to treat ALL the stages of the pests. This means you must kill the adults that are feeding on the host animal AND treat the areas where the animals are frequenting most commonly (beds, floors, outdoor play areas and potty areas, etc…).
